First day of 8th grade
"I thought you might want a mask picture" (I did, but didn't want to push my luck by asking :0)
With all school work done when I returned from my dr. appt. at 2:20, we were able to play our brand new game NMBR9. We have friends who opened a game store and we wanted to support them. (We bought 3 games and 2 books.....poor guys were supposed to open in mid-March!) Plus we want some extra things to do on the online/hybrid days since the school work doesn't take quite as long at home. Then the kids went off to Cross Country. Anna just had a meeting where she learned that they will not wear the official cross country uniform, since they don't want the girls in the locker room. Instead we ordered a t-shirt that she will wear all day and just run in the race wearing. They only will have 4 races this year to dramatically lower contact etc. (They normally run in a bunch of races, each with a bunch of teams, but that isn't safe this year. All races but one will be just with one other school.)
After arriving home we made a grand 1st day of school dinner (not typical). I made coconut chicken tenders, Joel made Thai peanut dinning sauce and Anna made arroz con leche for dessert!)
