11/9/20

Today we knocked home-schooling out of the park.  I jest.  Anna wants to make sure everyone knows this was not homeschooling!!

Here she is with our baking pumpkin (aka part of our table centerpiece for about a month)

We baked it....cuz it was a baking pumpkin, but to be honest, I don't think Ken noticed that when he bought it.  (Only one other time did I bake a pumpkin...it did not go as well as today!)

Pureed

Drained

Saved seeds to grow baking pumpkins next year.

roasted some seeds

mixed up the bread....notice that our pumpkin was almost exactly the 15 oz we needed
(we took out .1 oz)

seasoned our seeds.....they still just tasted like you were eating old maids from pop-corn or the shells from sunflower seeds.  nice flavor, but no thank you!

This on the other hand was fantastic.  (our one pumpkin made 2 loaves)

Not sure if Anna learned anything, but I learned that she is patient. I would have hurried through, but she followed every direction to the minute (specifically the pumpkin draining)
