The good: My hospital's Covid PCR test was negative!! The kids PCR tests are pending, but all rapid tests were negative.
The bad: Ugh - Matthew was heading back to Iowa City today bright and early to avoid the afternoon snow and now there is this! Active snow his entire route!
Yesterday at bedtime there was a 3-6% chance of snow before 9am. By 7:30 it was coming down and isn't stopping all day.
The best: Matthew is smart enough to wait until tomorrow to travel! (Don't get me wrong....I think we would have refused to let him take the car, but he decided to wait and was very reasonable about his plans changing in 2 minutes!) The kid already had his cold food packed (ham and brisket)! Last minute plan changes would have made me fussy - but he seemed fine with it!
Also the high schoolers don't have school today because they finished all their finals yesterday. (only kids who need to do "make up" work were expected to show up at school today)
I think show choir tomorrow is not likely.....but hey - maybe we can slow the spread of Covid in our singing programs....the cup is 1/2 full!!! (although Joel and Anna will be disappointed)
