4/1/2020

We were asked to foster a new puppy today.  I think the Foster care Coordinator felt bad about what happened with Trudy.  So meet Lilly:
She is only 5 lbs, the smallest puppy we had to date.  She is doing well with potty training (which means we know to take her out often and watch her close)

Matthew made enchilada casserole yesterday.  There is none left.  (and Ken didn't eat any (not a casserole guy))  It was delicious, we all had 2 helpings!!

We met with our Confirmation students.  It was a great meeting, but we received sad news about a couple in our church who have Covid19.  The man is on a ventilator in the ICU (reportedly doing well) and the woman is self-isolating at home.  I know this family (which is only surprising because we have a big church and their kids are grown).  I did Trick or treating for canned goods with Kelly 9.5 years ago and know Rich from youth ministry activities with Matthew.  Please pray for them.  I am so thankful that our church cancelled 3 weeks ago.  Kelly is a Eucharistic minister, so things could have been pretty bad if good choices weren't made by all.

Matthew has found his apartment.  He hasn't been in it, but they had a long discussion with the landlord and the pictures are great.  Plus he will get new carpet and paint this summer.  It has been lived in by a single female music major for 5 years!  I figure that is a good sign, because if things were bad, she have move out sooner.

Hat for colleague's grandbaby-to-be.
