Much less excitement and accomplishment today.

We did continue with the great seasonal clothing sort.  This really only pertains to the youngest 2 kids.  Matthew has almost all his clothes somewhere in his armoire, dresser or box from school.  (or let's be honest, in a pile)

Carolyn is going through her clothes herself, again with very few seasonal clothes boxed away.  This is because they are old kids and also because they don't have any hand-me downs to consider.  Honesty again, very few hand-me downs get worn anymore.  sigh....ok the styles change  (and Matthew is a plain t-shirt (anti-logo)/blue jeans guy and Joel is a athletic pants/logo shirt kind of guy....even their shorts are different....cargo style for Matthew and athletic shorts for Joel....crazy)  Carolyn wore wide legged pants in middle school and now pants are more narrow at the ankle....double crazy!!

Note our lovely decorating style with Matthew's couch requiring our love-seat to be moved in front of the fire place.....not trying to win a design award here, just happy to have his apartment furnished for next year.
Anyway, Anna has gotten started on her boxes, but to give her credit, she did a great job on the clothes in her room...her entire room is top notch really - even her closet shelves etc.!

Joel didn't have as much in his boxes and most of his judgement was "fit/not fit" unlike Anna who is deciding about the style of the garment.  (translation...much faster job with Joel)  Really, Anna isn't too hard to please typically, so I am not complaining....much.  Joel and I did go through his drawers and pulled out the majority of sweat shirts and sweat pants to store in the basement....not a sweater in the bunch :0)  On top of this box are pants from Matthew's high school HyVee days.  They were so hard to find because he became so tall and was so narrow.  I had to order these from JC Penney because they are one of the few places where there are still lots of small waist choices for people who are almost 6 feet tall.  Then the first pairs didn't fit and and I had to go to the ACTUAL JC Penney....I am teasing a little, but really the Penneys is SO far from my house and in west Des Moines, I would never go there without this specific purpose.  I am explaining this long story to explain why I told Joel he HAD to keep these pants for when he is working at a job that requires black dress pants....THEY WERE SO HARD TO FIND...and were outgrown so quickly!!!  (He said, "well I do have 2 pair of black pants"....which makes me laugh when I think of how many pairs of pants Matthew went through working at HyVee....much related to growing so fast in high school, after being so much shorter in middle school.  Also Joel has almost grown out of those 2 pairs.)

Carolyn and I are going to go on a walk and maybe to buy some flowers after she finishes playing Dungeons and Dragons with her friends online.  She did a ton of school already, so getting out would be especially good for her.  (Well....Matthew is worse, since she gets out for work on weekends, but those days will be changing shortly as he rejoins the working world.)

Still cleaning the house/purging stuff....living the dream!
